Daddy's birthday

Wednesday night I came from work around midnight and started to work on this cake. It is a 18" yellow cake that has butter cream as icing and raspberry filling. I used the basket weave design to represent the basket that the first settlers were using to put gift for one another way back in the 16 century.

My Dad's birthday was couple days before Thanksgiving. So we celebrated his 84th birthday like always by being thankful for all our blessings as a family on Thanksgiving day.

Thanksgiving 2010

I am working long hours (13 hour days) since last week Thursday to get the store ready for this big shopping season. Customers are happy to get what they are looking for.

Kim contacted me regarding a wedding cake that she would like me to make for her wedding coming up early next year. But today I am working on a cake that I will finish up tonight when I come back home from work (around midnight). I will take this cake to our Thanksgiving dinner in Bowie.

I am thankful for the blessing that God has lavished us with. Starting with the cross where His son Jesus died for our sins, His resurrection and His coming back again... I am thankful for you who will read this blog, may you be blessed beyond you wildest imagination through knowing Him (Jesus) as your Lord and Savior.
